BOOKS & BREWS: The Three Melissas by Diane Nilan & Diana Bowman
Our final BOOKS & BREWS of 2024 features ASHEVILLE NC author and activist Diane Nilan (yes! Diane is tough and will be here in Kansas for this BOOKS & BREWS!). Ms. Nilan's newest book is THE THREE MELISSAS: A Practical Guide to Surviving Family Homelessness.
Ms. Nilan is the President of HEAR US! a non-profit that advocates for children, teens, and families experiencing homelessness. She was responsible for federal legislation that ensured that K-12 public education students are not discriminated against due to their housing situation.

BOOK CLUB: Favorite Read
Join us for a special book club meeting and bring a pen and paper, as attendees share a favorite title from this summer…or a favorite title, period. This is a fun way to add to your TBR list. If you just want to listen for reading ideas, that is fine. We did this type of book club last August (2023) and it was so much fun!
